ACTION: depresses and rotates the scapula forward
REFERRAL: shoulder, chest, ulnar side of the arm
COMMENTS: A tight pectoralis minor will cause the shoulder to move inferior(down) and possibly forward. This muscle can also impinge on the brachial plexus, causing numbness, tingling or pain down the radial side of the arm. This is called pectoralis minor entrapment.
When working on this muscle, also release the pectoralis major.
